thanks to Blue Mountain Resort Limited for the golf and
alpine ski images on this site.
Here are just some of the many things to
do, check at our office for brochures on many of these listings.

Waterfalls
tour
There are 7 incredible waterfalls in Grey County, all within a
few minutes to an hour drive of Cedars. Enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls
and the surrounding area, take a picnic lunch, camera, go for a hike after.
The falls are part of the Niagara Escarpment. With a drop of 30 meters
Eugenia Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in Ontario. Hoggs Falls
is hidden and small but beautiful. Each waterfall has its own unique
attraction, be sure to check them all out. Spring is the best time to visit
the falls, with the snow melting, spring rains most are running quite fast.
For a detailed map and description of each visit

County's Waterfall Tour site.
Hiking
The world famous
Niagara Escarpment is a wealth of hiking trails including the
Bruce Trail which runs from Niagara to the tip of the Bruce
Peninsula. Even within this area there is a great diversity
of landscape to choose from. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Beaver Valley
from the top of Old Baldy.
Rock climbing and exploring ancient caves is a popular summer
time activity in The Kolapore Uplands Wilderness Area as is hiking
the trails in the spring and fall and cross country skiing or
snowshoeing in the winter.
There's no better way to
appreciate the fabulous fall colours of October or the fresh
smell of new growth in the spring. And of course, wildflowers
and birds abound in the spring, summer and fall. It's a
nature lovers delight.
You're sure to find the
history of Eugenia Falls, (located just up the road in the village
of Eugenia), as fascinating as the view is breathtaking.
Stop in at Danielle's to pick
up a picnic lunch then head over to Feversham Gorge. The
trails are well-trodden with stairs at some of the steeper
locations. You'll find alpine brooks and springs descending
into deep rock pools, lichen and wildflowers. Picnic tables
are provided near the park entrance.

Golf
There is no shortage of golf courses in the area, each with their own
challenges and charm. Talisman, Monterra Golf, Meaford and Highland Glen
are just a few. For the serious contender, Spring golf gets going by the middle of May. The golf season continues right through till October.
There are also a
number of driving and target ranges to help tune up your game and most clubs
offer lessons and clinics.
Cycling
Probably the fastest growing sport in the area is cycling and it's
easy to see why. For avid mountain bikers, you won't find a greater
challenge or variety of on- and off-road trails.

roads, ideal for a gentle ride through the country side. There are several
routes drawn out by local clubs and enthusiasts and are available to all,
both cross country touring and mountain biking. There is absolutely a trail
for you! For a recommended route through the Beaver Valley visit

More Summer Fun
Horseback
riding is a fun and different way to get back to nature.
Experience the landscape from the inside. There are a couple
of riding stables close by that offer an assortment of trail
rides. This activity is a lot of fun for the whole family.
Another attraction sure to get the kids in
motion are the Blue Mountain Slide Rides. There's a mini-bobsled course and the popular water and
tube slides. Be cool this summer! Enjoy the weekly movie under the stars at
Blue Mountain.

Scenic Caves

adventures, hiking on trails and caves high on Blue Mountain, treetop
